Pagosa Springs police are looking for information about a number of tires slashed last weekend.
According to Officer Tony Kop, nine tires and a raft were discovered to have been cut with a knife in the downtown area.
Kop said the slashings likely occurred between Sunday evening and 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, when victims began discovering the damage.
The first report of tires being cut came from the owners of a vehicle on Lewis Street, with two tires slashed, Kop reported.
The next report came from Pagosa Outside staff, Kop indicated, who reported a tire slashed on a vehicle, a 13-foot river raft cut and one tire cut on a trailer that was parked in the alley adjacent to Pagosa Street, behind La Bella (formerly Moonlight Books).
A call received later indicated two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Hermosa Street, Kop said.
After investigating that call, Kop said he discovered another vehicle on Hermosa Street with one tire slashed.
Two other victims made walk-in reports at the police department, reporting tire slashings on Hermosa Street, with one tire slashed on each of two vehicles, Kop said.
Kop said no evidence was left at the scene of any of the reported incidents.
Anyone with information, or who may have seen or heard anything, is asked to call the Pagosa Springs Police Department at 264-4151, Ext. 228.
