Obituary-Bobby Lynn Page

Bobby Lynn Page, of Georgetown, Texas, was born to (Abby) Troy Page and Ruby Middleton (Page) Allen in Josephine, Collin Co., Texas, now under a lake, on June 15, 1926. He passed away on July 18, 2012, in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 86.

After high school, Bobby selflessly devoted himself to our country while serving in the U.S. Air Force. During his service time he was active in both World War II and the Korean War. On Nov, 4, 1944, in Brady, Texas, Bobby married his one true love, Margaret Nell Patton. After his military service, Bobby worked as a manager of Data Processing for Dow Chemical. His career led him and his family to Freeport/Lake Jackson, Texas, Boulder, Colo., and Friendswood, Texas, and he retired in 1982 after 30 years with the company. After retirement, Bobby and Margaret spent much of their time with family and friends whom they always made a priority. He loved traveling around the country in his RV. He was a loving and caring owner of many pets; tried to perfect the game of golf; made an annual trip to Las Vegas for golf tournaments; tried his hand at blackjack; and was a member of a snow mobile club. He loved his growing up town of Doole, Texas, where his mother was post-mistress, and about which he told many stories of his reveling and stirring up trouble; he always had an excellent sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Bobby was strong in his faith and was a member of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Pagosa Springs, where he served as the treasurer. Bobby is highly respected and loved by those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, George Allen.

To cherish his memory, Bobby leaves behind his wife, Margaret Nell Page of Georgetown; daughter, Beverly Page Leonard of College Station, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Nell Luttrell and husband Thomas of Austin, Texas; grandson, Nathaniel Page Leonard and wife Patty of Cypress, Texas; great-grandchildren Lucy Page Luttrell of Austin, Samuel Colm Luttrell of Austin, Braeden John Leonard of Cypress, Texas, Sophie Jenna Leonard of Cypress, Haley Klinefelter of Cypress; sisters Anita Sandidge of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Tonya Strickland and husband Kenneth of Nevada, Texas, and Laura Lou Pendill and husband Steve of Nevada, Joy Copeland and husband Cecil of Nevada, brother, J.I.
