Cards of Thanks

Fire auxiliary

On June 22, the Pagosa Fire Protection District held its annual appreciation dinner for all those who help make Pagosa Springs a safer place. About 45 firefighters and their significant others attended the dinner at Nello’s Restaurant, shared a beverage, enjoyed the food and appreciated the fabulous prizes that were given away. The Pagosa Fire Auxiliary would like to thank the following merchants of Pagosa who so generously donated all of the prizes: Ace Hardware, Alley House, Ajia, Bear Creek, Boss Hogg’s, Boulder Coffee Cafe, Dorothy’s, Farrago, Pagosa Springs Golf Course, Goodman’s, Higher Grounds, Home Again, Junction, Kip’s, Nello’s Bistro, Pagosa Baking Co, Pagosa Brewing, Pagosa Outside, Pagosa Hot Springs, Plaza Grill, Ramons, Radio Shack, River Point Coffee Cafe, Shanghai, Tequila’s, The Buck Stops Here, Western Heritage Event Center Board, Wolf Creek Ski Area. Special thanks to the Hot Springs, the Golf Course and Wolf Creek for their very generous package donations.

The family of Leroy Oldham extends thanks to the community of Pagosa Springs, active-duty military, veterans, family and friends for their love and care during the illness and passing of our husband and father. Many people and organizations lent their support in a variety of ways and it is greatly appreciated. The people of Pagosa Springs are special, which was why we chose to make it our home 38 years ago.

With love and appreciation,

Ann Oldham, Carol Hazel, Shari Pierce, Terri House and families

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts of Pagosa Springs would like to thank Ace Hardware for donating wood and staples for the Fourth of July float. Thanks to the guys at PLPOA for lending Miss Darcy a Canoe at the last minute so our youngest ranking scouts, The Daisies, wouldn’t fall off the float! Thank you Chelsea for providing decorations and Tina for staying and working into the wee hours of the night. And to Mr. Downing, for building the structure that supported our sign and made sure our Girl Scouts were safe as he drove and pulled our float — thank you. Lastly, thank you Pagosa Springs for being such a strong supporter of Girl Scouts.
