June 29 is the last day for parade entries if you want to ensure yourself a good spot in the lineup for the Rotary Fourth of July Parade.
“Made In America — With Pride” is this year’s theme, and lots of examples are sure to be seen during the year’s best-attended event in Pagosa Country.
The parade will be held Wednesday, July 4, at 10 a.m.?Applications, maps and general information are available at the Chamber of Commerce or can be downloaded directly from The Pagosa Springs SUN website, www.pagosasun.com.
Among those who are sure to be there are the members of the San Juan Formation Flying Team, with their fly-over to start the parade, the American Legion flag bearers, this year’s Grand Marshals- the ever-popular Irons family, the Red Ryder Royalty, floats of every size, and all things depicting what “Made In America — With Pride” means to Pagosans.
?So, Pagosa, put on your creative thinking caps and get your applications turned in to the Chamber of Commerce no later than June 29. After that date, entries can still enter at the registration booth on the day of the parade, but will be placed at the end of the parade.
