Notice is hereby given that Archuleta County will accept sealed bids for One (1) Class 8 Truck Cab Chassis.

THREE SETS (ONE ORIGINAL AND TWO COMPLETE COPIES OF THE SEALED BID), clearly marked with “Class 8 Truck Cab Chassis,” along with the name, address and telephone number of the bidder, will be received by Larry Walton, Contracts and Procurement Officer, Archuleta County Courthouse, 449 San Juan St., P.O. Box 1507, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 (970) 264-5660, until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012. As soon as practical after the bid closing time, all bids shall be opened in public and read aloud. Bids received after the closing time shall be returned unopened to the bidder.

Bid specifications are available from the Archuleta County Road & Bridge Department, 1122 S. Hwy. 84, P.O. Box 1507, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. Please refer all questions regarding this bid to David Guilliams, Road and Bridge Superintendent at (970) 264-5660; fax (970-264-6815; e-mail dguilliams@archuletacounty.org. Answers to all questions, inquiries, or requests for additional information will be issued in the form of Addenda. The County will not be responsible for the authenticity or correctness of oral interpretations of the contract documents or for information obtained in any other manner than through the media of addenda. Bidders in their bids shall acknowledge receipt of each Addendum, and each Addendum shall be considered a part of the contract documents. Failure to acknowledge receipt of and Addendum issued may invalidate a bid as incomplete. Questions must be received no later than the close of business 3 days prior to the Bid Opening.

The bid shall be awarded by the Board of County Commissioners. It is the Bidders’ responsibility to verify the exact date of the award. Bidders may, but shall not be required to, attend the award of bid. A bid tab shall be forwarded to all Bidders as soon as practicable thereafter.

The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and minor irregularities in bids, and to accept the bid deemed, in the opinion of the Board, to be in the best interest of Archuleta County.

The second reading of Ordinance No. 769 (Series 2012) was completed at the Pagosa Springs Town Council Meeting held on May 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Town Hall. ORDINANCE NO. 769 (SERIES 2012), AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF PAGOSA SPRINGS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE BY THE TOWN OF PAGOSA SPRINGS, COLORADO OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON 6TH AND 5TH STREETS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL REAL ESTATE BETWEEN THE TOWN AND MONTE ALFORD FOR SUCH REAL PROPERTY, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PROMISSORY NOTE AS AN ESCROW PAYMENT FOR SUCH REAL PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZING OFFICIALS OF THE TOWN TO TAKE ALL ACTION NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE TRANSACTION CONTEMPLATED HEREBY. U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY

ANNOUNCEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE

OF GROUND WATER PERMIT ACTION

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to issue an Underground Injection Control (UIC) permit-related action, under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act and UIC program regulations, for the Tierra Piedra 15-1 SWD well operated by Petrox Resources, Inc., EPA permit number CO22208-09152. This action would authorize the injection of fluids into the subsurface for the purpose of Salt Water Disposal. The public notice, which requests comments on this action within 30 days, can be found at the EPA Region 8 UIC program’s website: http://www.epa.gov/region8/water/uic/. were originally mailed to Lessees, notifying a public hearing on May 8, 2012, regarding a Major Design Review Development application submitted by Wal-Mart for the development of a 94,000 square foot retail/grocery store proposed to be located in Phase 4 of the Aspen Village Commercial Development, Block 3, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, and an application for Vacation of Public Right of Way for the Aspen Park Circle cul-de-sac. The Noticed Public Hearing has been postponed until May 22, 2012 at 5:15pm, in the Ross Aragon Community Center Gymnasium, located at 451 Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs, Co. 81147. Irrigation use will include lawns, gardens, pastures, golf course and other irrigation uses on said property. A map depicting the lands that may be irrigated is attached and incorporated herein. Irrigation use with the Springs decreed herein is limited to 144 acres based upon a duty of water of 1 cfs per 60 acres, unless a different duty of water acceptable to the Division Engineer is established at the time the rights are made absolute. As denoted on the map, some of the lands to be irrigated also receive water from other sources and the Springs will be a supplemental irrigation supply for those lands. All uses are conditional at this time, with the exception of the absolute water rights granted by Decree in 2004CW96 for BSR Spring No. 3 and BSR Spring No. 5, as follows: BSR Spring No. 3. December 31, 1970 is claimed for irrigation, stockwater, storage, piscatorial, and irrigation uses for 0.2 cfs. All other uses associated with BSR Spring No. 3, and the remainder of the claimed 0.4 cfs for irrigation, stockwater, piscatorial and irrigation, are conditional; BSR Spring No. 5. December 31, 1950 is claimed for domestic use associated with BSR Spring No. 5 for 0.25 cfs. All other uses associated with BSR Spring No. 5 remain conditional in the amount of 0.25 cfs. Work done toward completion: Valley View Ranch, LLC, and/or Blue Sky Ranch of Colorado, LLC, are the application predecessors, and Applicant has been unable to ascertain from any of those previous companies what had been done by way of due diligence.
