Thingamajig Theatre Company loves our season ticket holders. They are the most loyal members of our theatre family and this spring we want to let them in on a couple of family secrets.
On May 22 at 6:30 p.m. all of our Summer Season ticket holders are invited to an open rehearsal of “Chicago” at the Center for the Arts. An open rehearsal is a fascinating opportunity to watch the dancers, singers and actors of a Thingamajig production at work, and see how a piece of theatre is shaped and polished by the choreographers, music director and director. It will also be a wonderful sneak preview of what is shaping up to be Thingamajig’s most exciting show yet. Thingamajig will provide light hors d’oeuvres and, of course, the bar will be in full operation. The evening will have a welcome explanation at 6:30 p.m. A break for the actors and a mingling with the audience at 7:30 and the rehearsal will continue until 9:30. The invited audience is welcome to stay until the end of rehearsal or just long enough to get a taste of what is coming this summer.
The open rehearsal is not the only perk that Summer Season ticket holders enjoy. Season tickets include admission to our beloved Champagne Openings where we celebrate the opening of each show with a glass of champagne and delicious food. Champagne Openings are also the night of our “Talk Back” with the cast and crew after our dramatic pieces. Opening attendees also receive a free “Come Again” ticket to see the production again with a friend. The Summer Season tickets are only $60 and include admission to three wonderful musicals; “Chicago” and “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” run in rep from June 15- Aug.12 and “The Last Five Years” which opens Sept. 7 and runs until Sept. 23. Season ticket holders also have the option of saving their seat for only $10 extra, to assure them a chance to sit in their favorite spot in the Breaks Black Box.
Season tickets to the Thingamajig Theatre Summer Season can be purchased by calling 731-SHOW (7469), visiting our website www.pagosacenter.org or by mailing a check to 2313 Eagle Drive Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. You must be a Summer Season ticket holder by May 22 in order to be invited to the open rehearsal, so act quickly.

Open call to artists
The Center for the Arts new art show “In the Name of the Father,” which opens on May 18 and runs through mid June, celebrates the creations inspired by religion based faith.

The gallery show corresponds with the Thingamajig Theatre Company’s production of “Doubt; a Parable,” a brilliant and powerful drama. The theatre production opens on May 18 with the gallery show and runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 3. Any artist who wishes to share their photographs, carvings or paintings of things inspired by faith are welcome to show.
Please contact Laura Moore at 731-7469 or email@example.com if you have any questions. Art must be submitted between 2-7 p.m. to the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts by Wednesday, May 16.
