Volunteer training days at Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock Interpretive Association (CRIA) invites community members to join us for the Chimney Rock Archaeological Area Volunteer Days on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28, at the PLPOA Clubhouse located at 230 Port Ave. Training will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and lunch is provided.

Chimney Rock offers a great, in-depth training program to anyone interested in learning about the site. Volunteer Training includes educational workshops, a full slate of speakers and a site tour which is scheduled for Saturday, April 28.

For registration, call 731-7133, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Without the volunteers’ skills and valuable time, it would be impossible to keep this local, non-profit, interpretive program viable and the gates to Chimney Rock open so, please, come join the team.

CRIA operates in partnership with the USDA Forest Service and the San Juan National Forest.
