Four Destination ImagiNation teams head for Global Finals

Destination ImagiNation students from Pagosa Springs represented our small town proudly at the DI Colorado Tournament on Saturday, April 14.

The tournament drew 295 teams from school districts across Colorado. All six Pagosa teams finished in the top ten of their age division and challenges.

Four Pagosa teams qualified for the Global Finals Tournament at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The Global competition in problem-solving and creativity is May 21-26.

The DINerds and the DEinsteins both received Renaissance Awards for extreme creativity and craftsmanship. The DINerds, Pagosa Imaginators7, DIdeas and the Smartalics are now raising money for travel and registration to Globals. Each participant needs about $1,200 to represent our schools at the international competition.

Archuleta School District funds Destination ImagiNation through the Colorado State Tournament. Now these amazing students, our creative problem-solvers of the future, are asking the community to help them compete.
