An educational seminar on the “Founder’s Principles of Liberty and the Meaning of the Constitution” is being presented in Pagosa Springs, hosted by the Archuleta County Republican Women.
The seminar is educational only and not politically or religiously oriented. The purpose of the seminar is to teach Americans the exciting message of the founding fathers — where they got their great ideas and how they put them all together into a Constitution for the establishment of the first free people in modern times. This is a timely topic as one hears a lot about the Constitution and the infringements upon it. We can all use a refresher course at this time.
Dr. Earl Taylor, president of the National Center for Constitutional Studies, has taught the course to thousands of people throughout the nation from high school students to state legislators to public school teachers for college re-certification.
This seminar is being presented from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the Lutheran School Gym (U.S. 160 at Meadows Drive). A complete 54-page study guide will be provided to each person attending as well as a box lunch from Subway West and refreshments during breaks. A certificate of completion for seven hours will be available to anyone who completes the seminar and wishes to have one.
Tickets are available and are $15 for students and $20 for adults. A limited number of scholarships are available for students. Deadline for purchase of tickets is Friday, April 20. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Call Barbara at 731-9916 or Linda at 264-9118 for tickets or additional information.
