On Sunday, April 15, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service will be a DVD sermon entitled “Redemption,” presented by the Rev. Angela Herrera, a young minister at First Unitarian Church of Albuquerque.
Herrera states that, “This will be a sermon about ‘sin and deliverance’ UU style! About being in the world, and being of it, but also being more than that.”
She explains that, “An old-fashion definition of ‘sinning’ is termed ‘breaking a rule,’ such as when we break one of the Ten Commandments. While we are still walking the earth, we can create a kind of hell for ourselves when we do what diminishes us, or is an offence to our fullness as human beings. All beings seek love and a life of meaning. Each of us has our own inner moral compass. None of us is perfect, but in the parlance of Unitarian Universalism, all are ‘redeemable, loveable and worthy.’”
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome!
