The Archuleta County Genealogical Society will meet April 14 at 11 a.m. at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis Street.
Jeannine Dobbins will present the program: Becoming the Family Detective.
Learn basic (and not so basic) methods for finding the clues to your family history. Where to start? How to start? What’s out there waiting for you to find it? Is it really as easy as Ancestry.com says it is? And why on earth would you want to do this?
Anyone interested is invited to bring a sack lunch and stay for Jeannine’s afternoon workshop for persons interested in becoming members of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) or working on supplemental applications. Bring what information you have and we’ll go from there.
For further information, contact Connie Bunte at 264-9168 afternoons or evenings.
