Pagosa’s Earth Day event set for April 14

The Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS) is facilitating the Earth Day event again this year.

It will be happening in Town Park, Saturday, April 14, from noon–6 p.m.

This event is happening the week prior to Earth Day because it is in partnership with the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce’s Electronic recycling or E-Cycle pickup.  The electronic items that are recycled in Pagosa will be taken to Durango to be added to their E-Cycle.

In case of inclement weather, our Earth Day event will move to the Youth Center across the street — but we are visualizing sunshine.

This Earth Day event is in partnership with the Chamber, which is also facilitating a “Recycle Your Talents — Volunteer!” event, telling the community about different non-profits that could use volunteers.

SOS is also working in partnership with the Pagosa Mountain Morning Rotary, which will be serving Pagosa Brewing Beer and wine.  There will be several food vendors, children’s activities, wonderful music on the gazebo and vendors selling items.  Please come join our community for this wonderful event.
