Adult basketball schedules finalized, available

This year’s adult basketball schedules have been finalized and are available in the recreation office in Town Hall.

For the first time, concessions will be available on a nightly basis throughout the season, thanks to permission from the junior high school administration.

Games in the men’s recreation league continue tonight in the junior high and intermediate school gymnasiums.

The schedule for the upper gym includes the following games: Kwame’s Team vs. Tim Miller Custom Homes at 6:15 p.m., Blazers vs. MBM at 7:15 p.m. and Green Machine vs. Pagosa Steams at 8:15 p.m.

The schedule for the lower gym is as follows: Z Carpenters vs. Pagosa Brewing at 6:15 p.m. and Hank’s Boys vs. Selph’s Propane at 7:15 p.m.

Managers are reminded that team registration fees are $250 per team, plus a $30 fee per player. Team fees are due prior to each team’s first game, and player fees are due at the start of each player’s second game.

Also, numbered jerseys of similar color are required attire for participation in this year’s leagues.

Rosters may carry as many as 15 players; players are eligible to participate if they were 16 years of age or older as of March 1.

Players may be added to the roster at any time throughout the season, but participants who have not paid the $30 player fee before the start of their second game will not be permitted to play.

Skate pond

The skate pond behind the River Center has been closed for the season.

Higher temperatures and thinning ice have resulted in unsafe conditions; please refrain from venturing onto the ice. We also ask that no foreign objects be thrown onto the ice.

Signs indicating the pond’s closure have been posted in the adjacent parking lot.
