It’s time to get your Irish on as Pagosa prepares for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
This year, the parade will be held on Friday, March 16, at 4 p.m., instead of the traditional actual date of March 17.
Those in town for spring break should come down off the mountain early, in time for the parade.
Registration forms for the parade are still available at the Chamber of Commerce or they can be downloaded from the Chamber’s website at www.pagosaspringschamber.com.
For places in the lineup, registration forms should have been turned into the Chamber by Wednesday, March 14. However, if you still want to be in the parade, you can come to the registration area and be assigned a space at the end of the parade.
We must have at least 25 floats registered in order for the parade to take place.
Registration for the parade will begin at 3 p.m. at Yamaguchi Park on South 5th Street. Entries will then line up on South 6th Street. The parade will begin at 4 p.m. and will travel from 6th to 2nd Street. Participants will then return to Yamaguchi Park via Hot Springs Boulevard and Apache Street.
This is always a fun parade. Prizes will be given for the Best Overall entry, the Greenest Entry and the Most Bizarre entry.
Please note on your registration from if you will have animals in the parade and what type: horse, dogs, llamas, etc.
For more information about the parade, contact the Chamber at 264-2360.
