Peace and prosperity in Pagosa

On Sunday, March 11, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “Peace and Prosperity in Pagosa,” presented by Richard Lindblad.

Rich is senior managing director of the Community Development Corporation of Pagosa Springs.

Many of us wonder, given all the uproar of late within the town and county of Pagosa Springs, if our beautiful idyllic community will ever return to the peace and calm reflected in the breathtaking vistas of our spectacular mountainous landscape.  In this time of world economic downturn, the question of Pagosa’s prosperity is of considerable concern to those who have made it this their home.

The sixth UU principle is: “The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all.”  We all aspire toward this noble goal, and Rich Lindblad will explore with us these questions and goals as they relate to Pagosa Springs.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.  All are welcome.
