The Pagosa Springs Photography Club will meet Wednesday, March 14, at SHY RABBIT, 333 Bastille.
Join us for socializing starting at 6 p.m., followed by the program, photo critiquing and business meeting at 6:30.
The Pagosa Photo Club is pleased to present this month’s program, “Elements of Fine Art Photography,” by Al Olson.
This will be a Power Point slideshow oriented toward getting judged in competitions, with tips and observations Al has gleaned from watching judges and hearing their comments.
The talk will include good and bad examples for many of the points in the presentation. It will be very informative and enjoyable.
A photo exhibit is held during each club meeting. Two categories are presented — the monthly theme category and the open category, where any subject is allowed. This month’s theme is “Black and White”. Members are encouraged to bring three of their photos that are in black and white or have been converted to black and white. Members can enter as many as three prints or six digital images. President Bob Winners will lead the critique of photos. It will be done as a group rather than with specified judges.
The Photography Club meets the second Wednesday of each month during the club year from September through May. Interested photography enthusiasts are welcome to attend at no charge for the first meeting. Any and all are invited to join for annual dues of $20 for single individuals and $30 for family membership.
