Nurturing Center begins Crianza Con Carino Monday evenings

“Crianza Con Carino” at the Nurturing Center invites Spanish speaking parents to join a fun and educational group that will begin Monday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m.

The Nurturing Center is located at 802 Rosita St.

The Crianza Con Carino group is the Spanish-speaking version of the Nurturing Parenting Program which has been offered in our community for five years by experienced and nurturing facilitators.

The youngsters are given the same curriculum as their parents through expressive play and proven education techniques.

The English-speaking group will continue to meet on Mondays, along with the Nurturing Teen group, and we will all join together for family time and a meal. We enjoy all family members attending; we learn so much from each other.

We continue to offer the Co-parenting in Divorce class and will be expanding our services for divorced and co-parenting families.

In our commitment to Hispanic families, we have bilingual support on Tuesdays for questions regarding resources or people can just come to talk and play.

Car seat installation is also available Tuesdays, with new car seats available for a donation, by appointment.

Salvation Army assistance is located at our center; you can call or just drop in.

We also have a Bible study on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m., led by Anna and Drew Harbison.

See It Stop It Parents as Leaders group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month — a group that works towards identifying and ending violence in our lives and our community.

We also have monthly inspirational brunches where individuals from our community share their stories.

As our center grows and flourishes, we wish to give thanks for all the miracles and angels that we are sent and for those whose prayers and donations have kept us going.

We welcome volunteers of all ages who are creative and like working side by side with families and individuals who are committed to a community where all are accepted and nurtured without judgment. We work together to contribute positive ways to live together in peace. We also offer our space for meetings, workshops and classes on a donation basis.

Look for the dates of upcoming events and join us anytime.
