Kick up your heels at Saturday’s A Little Black Dress Affair

It’s time!

Ladies, get your little black dress and heels ready, gather your girlfriends and step out to enjoy a glamorous evening for women only.

The Board and Staff at Seeds of Learning invite you to A Little Black Dress Affair-Kick Up Your Heels, an elegant evening of music and fun. This “Affair” will be held Saturday, March 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

Ladies attending will enjoy a magical musical production featuring Pagosa performers, young and old alike. Several precocious little girls from Seeds of Learning will model adorable dresses and skirts fashioned by Little Weedz as they “kick up their heels.” There might even be a few surprises sure to make you want to kick up your heels.

Delectable appetizers prepared by the Alley House Grille will be served, complemented by wines under the label “Little Black Dress,” provided by Mountain Spirits (cash bar).

Mary McKeehan promises to surprise everyone with some outrageous entertainment and J.P. Rappenecker will keep the evening lively with a variety of high energy music.

The silent auction committee has collected some fabulous items that will be sure to tempt your pocketbook, all for a good cause, of course. Bring your ticket with you to the event with the back filled out and maybe your name will be drawn as the winner of the Opportunity Drawing. Word on the street is that, “It’s all about the shoes.” You never know who might win a prize for the shoes they’re wearing.

Ladies attending will surely be dazzled by the ambiance. The community center will be transformed with architectural sphere designs along with warm hues to enhance the night’s theme, with a few big surprises thrown in. Special gifts for all attendees will be set at each table with lots of surprises inside from some very generous local merchants.

Then … when the event is over and you’re still kicking up your heels, there will be an “after party” at Nello’s Bistro. You can continue to kick up your heels there, enjoy some drink specials and have some more fun with your friends. Men are welcome to join you at Nello’s.

A limited number of tickets are still available for advance sale at Seeds of Learning. Please call Seeds of Learning at 264-5513 to confirm whether there will be tickets available at the door the night of the event.
