Ballots will be mailed to all eligible registered voters in the District the week of April 16TH, and must be returned by each voter by mail; in person during regular business hours; or by way of drop box. If you return your ballot by mail, first class postage is required. Check with your local post office for deadlines to have your ballot properly delivered. Ballots must be in the DEO’s office or in the drop sites by 7 p.m. Election Night. However, no postage is required if you deposit your ballot in an open ballot drop box by that time. A list of all ballot drop boxes will be included with your ballot material. If you don’t receive your mail-in ballot by Monday, April 20TH, please contact the DEO. An application for a mail-in ballot shall be filed with the DEO no later than the close of business on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

INVITATION TO BID

Separate sealed BIDS for the Highway 160 Sidewalk Replacement (South Side 1st St. to 2nd St.) will be received by the Town of Pagosa Springs at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at 188 South 8th Street, P.O. Box 1208, Pagosa Springs, Colorado 81147, until 2:00 P.M. local time on March 22, 2012, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project primarily consists of replacement of sidewalk and associated curb and gutter, driveway aprons, and access ramps for approximately 700 linear feet along U.S. Highway 160 on the south side between First Street and Second Street. The project includes excavation and removal of existing materials, grading and preparation of subgrade, placement of aggregate base course, construction of concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, installation of concrete street light bases with associated electrical conduit, and asphalt paving and patching. The Town of Pagosa Springs desires to construct improvements prior to Memorial Day weekend to the maximum extent practical.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and PLANS may be obtained on or after March 5, 2012, at the office of Davis Engineering Service, Inc. located at the address mentioned above, upon payment of $50.00 for each set. No refund will be made for returned copies.

The Town of Pagosa Springs has a local preference policy which will be enforced in awarding this project, as indicated in the Information to Bidders within the Contract Documents.
