“Connecting those that have the heart to help“— with those that have needs,” is a great way to describe Justice Ministries.
Justice Ministries, located at 459 Lewis St., has a vision to come alongside those in our community who are hurting and need help with a wide variety of services.
We operate the Leah House — a home for single moms and their children — but that’s not all. We’re also a networking hub that pulls our community resources together in the form of matching volunteers with those who need a helping hand.
We are ordinary citizens with a desire to serve one another. For example: maybe you are remodeling your kitchen and need to find a home for your good, working appliances. Justice Ministries most likely knows of someone who needs a used refrigerator or a stove. Are you strong? We know of senior citizens on fixed incomes who could use some help with shoveling. Folks need rides to medical appointments, and sometimes people just need someone to talk to.
Have you ever experienced situations that seem very overwhelming and hard to sort out? We listen and quite often find that solutions come very easily — one step at a time.
We’ve developed relationships and network with local ministries, organizations and agencies and, together, we’re shouting out the message: “There is hope!”
Please call Justice Ministries at 264-4483 to learn more about what we do, how you can participate as a volunteer, or if you need a helping hand.
