The annual Humane Society’s Mardi “Growl” party will be held at the Bear Creek Saloon on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Tim Sullivan will once again be the featured performer and will play from 6 to 9 p.m. for your dancing pleasure, or to simply enjoy listening to his wonderful music.
There will be a cover charge of $5, which will directly benefit the Humane Society Animal Shelter, and there will be beads galore for all attendees. Bear Creek Saloon will feature Mardi Gras drinks all evening, with a Mardi “Growl” drink special each hour.
Come on out for a fun evening of Mardi Gras celebration that will benefit a great cause here in Pagosa. The Humane Society provides homeless animals with temporary shelter and care until they can be reunited with their owners or an adoptive family can be found. The Humane Society does not receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States, American Humane, the ASPCA, or from United Way. The Humane Society Animal Shelter must rely on revenue from private donations, the Thrift Store and fund-raisers such as the Mardi “Growl” in order to operate for the benefit of the entire community.
