An avalanche awareness and safety overview, with a focus on avalanche rescue skills for Pagosa Springs middle school and high school students, will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at the Liberty Theatre.

The movie will be “A Fine Line; Know Before You Go.”Participants can enjoy Liberty Theatre concession treats.

An avalanche rescue clinic will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at Yamaguchi Park, from 9-11 a.m. The Pagosa Springs Youth Center will supply juice and a snack for this field session.

Cost is $10 per student, a suggested donation to benefit Pagosa Springs Youth Center.
