You are invited to join in the festivities during the highly anticipated SHY RABBIT Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Featured works will include a selection of over 100 skillfully crafted pieces by 18 local and nationally-recognized artists from throughout the country.
The artwork on display in this prestigious annual group show ranges from functional and sculptural ceramics to unique hand-pressed and limited edition prints, mixed media artworks to reanimated animal skulls, and more.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the day. Several of the artists will be in attendance to meet visitors and to answer any questions that they might have about their work.
If you have never visited SHY RABBIT, or it has been a while since your last visit, this is the perfect opportunity to tour the 4,000 square-foot contemporary art center at your leisure while enjoying the company of friends and neighbors.
This highly unique facility is located — to the surprise of many — in a wooded commercial district of Pagosa Springs, on the west end of town, in a fully renovated auto repair shop.
SHY RABBIT houses a fine art gallery and working ceramic studio, two mixed-media workshops and rotating exhibition spaces.
Visitors will be treated to a display of select works by SHY RABBIT’s highly regarded gallery artists, many of who are nationally recognized and respected art educators.
This expansive holiday group show continues through Sunday, Jan. 22, featuring works by: Sandy Applegate, Randy Au, Michael D. Barnes, Debra Blair, Marti Bledsoe, D. Michael Coffee, Denise Coffee, Patrick Shia Crabb, Lal Echterhoff, Charla Ellis, Ruth Fiege, Ron Fundingsland, Chris Haas, Gail Hershey, Karl Isberg, Maureen May, Jeff Pender and Brad Schwieger.
SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts; Gallery, Studio and Workshops is located at 333 Bastille Drive; two blocks north of U.S. 160, off of North Pagosa Boulevard, west of the City Market complex.
