Hands-On Arts Camp for Children — holiday edition

Santa’s Helpers would like to invite your little elves for some winter break fun at Hands-On Arts Camp.

This special Holiday edition is for one week. Join us for handmade Christmas crafts and gifts, caroling, and culinary Christmas creations.

Some of the highlights for the week are: Christmas tree sculpture, beaded snowflake ornaments, stained glass ornaments, elf puppets, Christmas Caroling and, on Thursday, Lil’ Chefs will create Christmas Culinary Delights!

Due to the high demand for holiday fun, early registration is encouraged.

Class is limited to 20 students per day. Daily dropoff numbers depend on space available — first come, first served.

The classes will be held at the Pagosa Springs Elementary Art Room. The camp will run for the first week of the school district winter break.

This program is for students in kindergarten to sixth grade, Monday-Thursday, Dec. 19-22, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Cost is $35 per day; Tuition includes instruction and supplies.

The art teachers: are Lisa Brown and Tessie Garcia.

Lisa Brown has had the privilege of teaching for 21 years. She currently teaches K-6 art in Ignacio and has resided in Pagosa for 17 years. Tessie Garcia has been teaching art at Pagosa Springs Elementary School for 19 years. Tessie and Lisa have been teaching together for Summer Arts Camp for 16 years.

Students need to wear comfortable older clothes, and they need to bring winter gear, a snack, water, lunch and a good art-i-tude!
