The joy, warmth and meaning of Christmas will come to life this weekend at the Pagosa Springs Community Choir’s annual Christmas concert.
“Wonderful Christmastime” will be presented Dec 2, 3 and 4 in the high school auditorium. Dec 2 and 3 concerts are at 7 p.m., and the Dec 4 concert is a matinee at 4 p.m.
A brass ensemble will be a part of this year’s concert. Members of the group are D’Ann Artis, Kathy and Larry Baisdon, Bill and Sue Gottschalk, Dave Krueger and John Wright. The concert will be narrated by Rick Artis, and Faith Richardson will provide the sign language accompaniment as the choir sings.
Exciting new arrangements of such old standards as “Joy to the World” and “O Holy Night” are a part of the program. The choir will also be singing several upbeat selections like “Run to the Manger” and “Come on Down to Bethlehem.”
You are invited to get your holiday season started off right. All concerts are free and open to the public. However, the choir always welcomes donations to help support their music student scholarships and the music programs in our public schools.
