Three lucky winners were randomly picked at the November SunDowner at Plaza Grille as part of the first Pagosa Perks Raffle.
Winning $1,000 was Jeff Laydon; $500 was won by Lou Jean Espinosa; and $250 was awarded to Bill Kinsley.
These three recipients received Pagosa Perks local spending dollars. The Perks can be spent throughout Pagosa Springs, just like cash.
Business owners – even if you are not a Chamber member, you should accept these Perks. When Perks are accepted, change can be given back to the customer if the purchase is less than the dollar amount. Perks should then be listed on your deposit just as you would a check, and that’s it.
Perks are safer than checks, as they are guaranteed, so even if you don’t accept checks at your establishment, you should accept the Perks and treat them as cash. If you are turning down Pagosa Perks, you could be turning away business from your establishment and no one can afford to turn down business these days.
If you need more information on Pagosa Perks or how to handle them, please contact the Chamber of Commerce at 264-2360.
Remember, Pagosa Perks also make great Christmas or thank you gifts, stocking stuffers or a thoughtful gift for that hard-to-buy-for person.
Pagosa Perks can only be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce. Stop by and stock up for the holidays, or say thank you to your employees with Pagosa Perks.

Parade of Stores
The sixth annual Parade of Stores is also just around the corner.
This retail extravaganza weekend is the perfect time to really start shopping for all your holiday needs, keep your dollars local and experience some amazing sales.
More than 35 stores in Pagosa will offer either no tax or 10-percent discounts on shopping for these three days, along with many open houses and other specials and discounts.
By participating in the events of the weekend, you can qualify to win prizes donated by each of the participating stores via the frequent shopping program. You can also be entered into a drawing for one of three Super Prize packages. For every $10 you spend this weekend at a participating store, you can enter to win one of two trips or a Super Spa Day in Pagosa.
The Parade of Stores is hosted by the Chamber to remind residents to shop locally and also to attract regional visitors to Pagosa to enjoy our unique retail shops, restaurants and all the fun festivities that will be going on that weekend.
Participants can pick up their frequent shopping cards beginning Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Chamber or at any of the participating stores. When you finish shopping, you can turn your cards in at any of the stores or drop them off at the Chamber. If we are closed, just slip them through the mail slot.
Participants will need to get 18 stamps on their card in order to be entered into the drawing with prizes from the stores. When you purchase items from these participating stores, your Super Prize Packet drawing tickets will be issued at the store where you purchased your goods. Smart shoppers will bring address labels with them to place on the tickets in order to save lots of time. Make sure your address labels have your phone number on them.
If you have any questions concerning the Parade of Stores, contact the Chamber. Get ready to shop, Pagosa!
