The Pagosa Springs Community Choir presents their Christmas Concert, “Wonderful Christmastime,” Dec. 2, 3 and 4 in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium. The Dec. 2 and 3 concerts are at 7 p.m. and the Dec. 4 concert is a matinee, at 4 p.m.
As in previous years, the concert will be a blend of music styles, all celebrating the Christmas season.
The religious numbers include “Mary Go Tell It,” “The Little Drummer Boy,” and “O Holy Night.”
Parts of the concert will focus on secular selections like “Wonderful Christmastime” and “Winter Wonderland of Snow.”
The Jazz Ensemble will liven things up with “Dig That Crazy Santa Claus” and a medley entitled “Swing Into Christmas.”
As is tradition, the concert will end with the “Hallelujah Chorus.”
Join us to get your holiday season off to a joyful start.
This talented group of nearly 70 singers is directed by Dan Burch and accompanied by Venita Burch. Members of the choir vary in age from teens to seniors and every age between. Several of the selections include solos that will warm your hearts.
All concerts are free and open to the public. However, the choir always welcomes donations to help support their music student scholarships and the music programs in our public schools.
