The Southwest Colorado Genealogical Society will hold its next meeting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the La Plata County Historical Society’s Animas Museum, located at 3065 W. 2nd Ave. in Durango.
Following a brief business meeting, Brianna McCormick, a quilt historian, will give a presentation on the “Genealogy of Signature Quilts.”
McCormick is a former staff member at the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell, Mass., and she will speak on the history of signature quilts and the quilt as a historic document.
The public is encouraged to attend and have some fun.
