In our culture, our community and our homes, we tell our kids that violence is not OK, that it’s not right to hit, and yet, all too often, we then put on a violent movie or video game that encourages violence as an entertainment form.
This double message confuses people and undermines our best effort at preventing violence. We‘ve got to do better for our youth and our community.
We are See It Stop It Parents as Leaders in Pagosa and we are committed to ending violence in our lives and our community.
We are hosting a community forum — a series of workshops.
Workshops will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday nights, Nov. 9 and 16, at the Pagosa Springs Youth Center.
