Youth volleyball season tips off Monday

Games in the 11- and 12-year-old youth volleyball division will begin Monday evening in the Ross Aragon Community Center.

The schedule is as follows: Green faces Black at 6:30 p.m. on Court 1; Silver takes on Royal at 6:30 p.m. on Court 2, and Gold faces Red at 7:25 p.m. on Court 2. Uniforms will be provided to each team prior to the start of each game.

Practice schedules for the 9-10 division and game schedules for the 11-12 division are available at the recreation office in Town Hall.

7-8 basketball

Rosters for the 7-8 youth basketball program have been finalized and practices will begin next week.

Schedules for this year’s program will be available next week in the recreation office in Town Hall and will also be posted on the recreation department page at

Games are tentatively scheduled to begin Nov. 22. Due to the limited amount of gym space available during the holiday season, games may be scheduled Monday-Thursday at either 5:30 p.m. or 6:25 p.m. through late December. All games will be played in the Ross Aragon Community Center gymnasium.

Registration for the 9-10 and 11-12 divisions will begin later this month; the season for these divisions will not begin until early January.

Soccer photos

Coaches and parents who ordered youth soccer photos can contact Jeff Laydon at Pagosa Photography, 264-3686, to arrange pick up of their orders. The recreation office will provide sponsors with team plaques and pictures as soon as they are available.

The recreation staff would also like to thank Jeff for accommodating another busy schedule during this year’s youth soccer season.

This year marks the 15th year Jeff has offered professional photography service to our programs while donating all of the team photographs used in the commemorative plaques free of charge; thanks again.
