Cards of Thanks

Seeds of Learning would like to extend a great big thank you to Tony and Julie Simmons and the Pagosa Brewing Co. gang. We had a wonderful celebration of our NAEYC Accreditation status on Saturday with lots of food, live music and friends of Seeds of Learning. A big thank you, too, to Shane Lane and his band. They were fabulous. What an awesome community we are all blessed to live in.

With the new 4-H year just beginning, the members of the Wolf Creek Wonders 4-H Club would like to thank several community members for taking the time to present a program to our club this past year. Tim and Laura Moore spoke about the Pagosa Springs Arts Center and helped us understand how a play comes together. Jessica Bilazzo from Growing Spaces showed us growing domes and the benefits of raising crops year round. Registered Nurse Joyce Hines helped us understand all the roles a nurse can occupy. Many helpful tips on safety in the wilderness were given by Mike Moore. Each presentation was interesting and had valuable information. We thank these adults for sharing their knowlegde with us.

Special thanks from Pagosa Springs Music Boosters on the success of “The Gift” concert: Dave the Poet, Harvey Schwartz, Jammer Greg, Dave Chambers, Vanessa Morris, PSHS Key Club, Danna Laverty, Louella Sanchez Gross, Malinda Fultz, Linda Miller, Karin Hoot, Pagosa Springs SUN, Archuleta County schools, Pagosa Springs High School, Dan Burch, Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce, Old West Press, KWUF, KSUT, The Daily Post, Pagosa Journal, Durango Herald, Pagosa Baking Company, Bob Hemenger, Betty Slade, Philip Martinez and the generous sponsorship of Citizens Bank.

Fun Day Rodeo

Sonny and I would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, friends and family who helped put on the rodeos throughout the summer. We would especially like to thank everyone for their support in raising the money for the first annual scholarship in memory of our nephew, Michael Maestas.

Lori Lucero

Once again, the Winslow on the Shire was the perfect setting for a fabulous ladies night out. The guests and volunteers enjoyed a spectacular evening of shopping and fun thanks to all the vendors who created the exciting ambiance. We so appreciate the time and effort it takes each vendor to make their presentations special. Our hats are off to Janet and Dave Richardson who make all LASSO events a smashing success with gourmet delights and their invaluable time and effort. LASSO is able to continue efforts in caring for unwanted horses and finding permanent homes because people support the wonderful events we create! Thanks to all the volunteers of this organization who make every event a success.
