Ballots for the Nov. 1, 2011 Coordinated Mail Ballot election were delivered to the post office on Oct. 11, 2011.
They are in the mail, on their way to local voters.
If, by Friday, Oct. 14, you believe that you should have received a ballot and have not, you will need to either call the Elections Office or stop by the office to check your status.
The Elections Office phone number is 264-8331. The Elections Office is located in the basement of the Archuleta County Courthouse and is easiest to find if you park in the parking lot at the back of the courthouse.
Ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2011.
Postmarks do not count!
You can return your ballots to the Archuleta County Clerk’s Office in the county courthouse from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
You can also return your ballot to the Elections Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Election Day, the Elections Office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Don’t forget to sign your return envelope. Your ballot cannot be counted if your signature does not appear on the envelope.
