UU Fellowship considers ‘Humanist Spirituality’

On Sunday, Oct. 9, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship topic will be “Humanist Spirituality,” a DVD sermon by the Rev. Christine Robinson of First Unitarian Church, Albuquerque.

She points out that “Spirituality is cultivation of the Spirit, and Spirit means many different things to each of us.  In Greek and Hebrew the words ‘spirit’ and ‘breath’ are the same word.”

Robinson adds that “One important thing we do in UU congregations is to engage in practices of spirituality, using the joys and resources of a diverse theological community.  What is highest in the universe is also deepest within ourselves and everyone else, as well.”

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, and child care will be provided. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.  All are welcome.
