The Humane Society of Pagosa Springs will hold a dedication ceremony this Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. for the recently completed Serenity Garden.
The garden is adjacent to the animal shelter building located at 465 Cloman Blvd.
The Serenity Garden celebrates the loving memory of friends, family and four-legged companions no longer with us and also honors those special people and pets still among us. Etched paver stones and bricks have been laid along the winding, landscaped path through the garden. Benches in the garden offer peaceful spots to enjoy the incredible mountain views.
The original paver stones and bricks laid in the garden were made possible through generous donations to the Homeward Bound campaign, which helped raise funds needed to erect the current shelter building. Pavers and memorial bricks can still be purchased by anyone who would like to honor or remember a special person or pet and support the work of the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs.
All those people who purchased pavers and bricks are invited to this Saturday’s ceremony, along with members of the general public. Light refreshments will be served.
Please join us as we say thank you to our supporters and honor the people and pets whose names grace the Serenity Garden.
