The Colorado Rural Entrepreneurship Marketplace is being held this year at the high school in Pagosa Springs on Oct. 7 and 8. This is an incredible opportunity to take advantage of highly qualified speakers in many areas of business and community development.

Following is just a sampling of the more than 70 sessions that are available for you to choose from.

Learn how to capitalize on the increasing heritage tourism industry by providing authentic, quality experiences.

The finance track will include an informative panel discussion on funding resources for business. Another session will assist you in understanding financial statements and how to use those to make better business decisions.

Developing Your Message is just one of several offerings in the marketing track. This session will help you to know how to let consumers know why they should buy your product or service.

The ever-changing world of technology can be confusing. Let our speakers help you wade through this with sessions to help you understand the role and management of a website for your business and determining whether social media marketing is right for you and your business. You will hear strategies to launch a campaign to grow your business.

In addition to the educational sessions, each day will start of with a keynote address. This year’s speakers are Greg Lopez, director of the Colorado Small Business Administration, and Mikal Belicove, writer and speaker for Entrepreneurial Magazine, entrepreneur and business owner.

At the end of each day’s sessions, there will be a tour of a Pagosa Springs business that you may choose to attend. Friday the tour will be at Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Inc. and Saturday’s tour will be at Growing Spaces.
