‘The Gift,’ a multimedia presentation

Pagosa Springs Music Boosters will present a family-friendly, special evening called “The Gift,” Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.  It will be a concert style, multimedia event of music, theater, dance and live art, proceeds of which will benefit the performing arts in local schools.

Designed by Dave McDonough and Harvey Schwartz, music sets will offer styles of classical, folk, blues and jazz, and will be performed by musicians Harvey, Val Fulco, “Jammer” Greg, Dave Chambers and others.

Artist Betty Slade will paint a watercolor piece on stage, live, alongside and in interpretation of one of the musical/theatrical numbers. The painting will be auctioned off at the end of the evening, in addition to an oil painting representing an earlier, similar concert.

“The Gift”  is being given as a gift to the Music Boosters organization in support of their gifts to our schools and students, and the members of Music Boosters are honored and grateful that Harvey and Dave came to them with their concert production.

All performers and volunteers are donating their time and talents to the event.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and are available at the Chamber and at the door.  See
