Live entertainment and dance Friday night at the center

Not sure what to do Friday night?

Come support the Ross Aragon Community Center and listen to D.L. Marble and his band, beginning at 7 p.m.  He will have you dancing the night away.  

Marble has recently released a new single and you are sure to hear him on our local radio soon.  Check out his website and listen to his music at www.dlmarble.net.

Tickets are on sale now at the community center.  Tickets are $10 in advance, until 5 p.m. Friday, and $12 at the door. Get your tickets early.

A cash bar and snacks will be available for your enjoyment.

 Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees applications are available for you to pick up at the center.  Get your application now, and support your favorite local non-profit.

 The Festival of Trees auction will be held Dec. 2, from 6-9 p.m.  Come to the Ross Aragon Community Center and enjoy Christmas music, hors d’oeuvres and a social hour, while selecting your favorite trees and supporting your favorite charity.

Free programs

 Mah Jongg. Tuesdays, 1-3 p.m. call the center with any questions, 264-4152.

 Pickleball. Winter Schedule:  Starting Sept. 1 pickle ball will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-10 a.m.  If you need a pickleball fix, join us.  Loaner paddles are available.  If you would like to learn the game of pickleball, join us from 9 –11 a.m. to learn this fun and exciting game.  Contact Fran if you have any questions, 884-3184.

 Tai Chi. No experience is necessary. Join instructors Pam Kircher and Anna O’Reilly. Classes are Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-noon. Please wear flat-soled shoes and bring water. Class is open to everyone.

 Hoopsters. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8-9 a.m. Warren and the guys are waiting for you to come out and play, and they will play with just about anyone. The Hoopsters are a great group of guys getting out there twice a week for a good game of b-ball.

 Yoga.  Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. and Tuesdays, 10-11:30 a.m. Rejuvenate with us. Please bring a mat or towel. Call the center with questions 264-4152.

 Meditation on the Breath.  Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 11-11:30 a.m. Call the center for information.

 Dance for Life-Vinyasa Flow.  Mondays and Wednesdays 10-11 a.m. Call Helena for information, 731-5529.

 Belly Dancing. We offer a beginners’ class, 1–2:30 p.m.; and an intermediate class from 2:30–3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  Learn this beautiful art; it is great exercise and lots of fun. Contact Carla for more information, 731-3117.

 The Ancient Art of the Hand Drumming.  Percussionist Carla Roberts teaches drumming every Wednesday, 3:30-4:30 p.m.  This is a beginner to intermediate instruction on the goblet shaped hand drum. Call the center for more information, 264-4152.

 Israeli Folk Dance. Wednesdays 7-9:30 p.m.  Learn this unique type of dance and have a great time while getting exercise. All experience levels welcome. Call Kim Hartfiel if you have questions, 946-7285

The Ross Aragon Community Center has the space you are looking for.  We have reasonably priced rooms to meet your event needs.  Our rates range from $6 to $90 per hour. Room sizes for 20, 40, 50, 90 or 500 people.

The community center hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday by appointment only.
