9/11 Service of Remembrance

September 11, 2011, is the 10th anniversary of an event that changed all of our lives.

We need to remember all of those who gave their lives that day, and we would like to invite the community to gather on Lewis Street on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 12:15 p.m.

Pastor Donald Ford of Community United Methodist Church, Rev. Doug Neel of  St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and Father Donald Malin of Pope John Paul II Catholic Church will officiate.

An introduction, prayer and song will precede two minutes of silence ending with the ringing of bells.

One of the music selections is “Amazing Grace,” which will be played on bagpipes, and the CUMC Bell Choir will also play.

If you or anyone you know lost someone on this tragic day, or was there, please call the Pope John Paul II parish office at 731-5744 and we will arrange to announce your and/or their name.
