Supply list for elementary school students

With the start of the 2011-2012 school year looming (the first day of school in District 50 JT is Aug. 29), parents of elementary school students are reminded to acquire the supplies necessary for their students as they head back to class.

Following are the supply lists for the elementary grades.

First grade

Two glue sticks.

Two pink erasers.

Three sturdy pocket folders.

Two, eight-count boxes of crayons.

One large box tissues.

One spiral notebook (70 sheets, wide ruled).

One composition notebook (black and white, wide ruled).

One ream of paper (colored or white).

One large backpack.

Girls — One box gallon size Ziploc bags.

Boys — One box sandwich size Ziploc bags.

Second grade

Twenty-four pencils.

Two pink erasers.

One glue bottle.

Tissues — 100 count.

Four spiral journals (70 page, wide rule).

Five pocket folders (plastic preferred).

One pack loose leaf notebook paper — wide rule.

Girls — 8-ounce sanitizer and colored pencils.

Boys — Disinfecting wipes and markers.

Third grade

Four composition books (black and white).

Two 16-ounce Kroger Wheat Saltines (snack).

Two boxes Kleenex.

36 No. 2 pencils (to be shared).

One box Ziplocs (boys — gallon size, girls — quart size).

Two pocket folders.

Fourth grade

Three single subject spiral notebooks (wide rule).

One package of loose leaf paper (wide rule).

Small pencil sharpener with lid.

Three pocket folders.

One large box of Kleenex.



Four glue sticks.

Four dozen No. 2 pencils.
