BootJack Ranch to sponsor United Way Tournament

The United Way of Archuleta County is proud to announce that the title sponsor of the 13th Annual United Way Charity Golf Tournament will be BootJack Ranch.

Kelcy Warren, who sponsored the United Way Golf Tournament last year, generously agreed to be the overall tournament sponsor once again in 2011. The United Way thanks Warren for his continued support and participation in this important fundraising event.

The tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club. The format will be a four-person scramble and will begin with a shotgun start at 9 am. Two different flights, Championship and “Just-For-Fun,” will be offered, as well as various contests, prizes and giveaways. The tournament fee per player is $100 for the Championship flight and $75 for the “Just-For-Fun” flight. This amount includes green fees, cart, and prizes of various golf packages and other golf-related items. Continental breakfast and a delicious lunch by Pagosa Springs Golf Club’s new The Pines Restaurant is also included.

Golfers can enter as a team or as individuals by calling United Way at 731-0484.

Tournament chairmen Buddy Schuchardt and John Weiss have been working hard to make this a fantastic tournament. They encourage all area golfers to participate in the event and to register as soon as possible for this fun day on the course which will benefit a multitude of worthy organizations in Pagosa Springs.

This golf tournament is the primary fund-raising event for the county’s United Way campaign and 99 percent of all funds raised stay in our county.
