Southwest Light presents alternative movie: ‘Something Unknown’

Want to know what scientists have learned about precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, remote viewing, psychokinesis and healing? Though so-called “mainstream” science has largely ignored these fascinating subjects, some brave and dedicated researchers have worked hard over the last century to reveal what is real and what is not.

Dutch filmmaker Ren√©e Scheltema, was inspired to explore the realms of psychic phenomena after having some personal experiences with unknown phenomenon. She traveled to the U.S., seeking out top scientists in the field, parapsychologists, psychologists, physicians, and doctors within this field of research, like Professor Charles Tart, Professor Gary Schwartz, Dr. Larry Dossey, Dr. Edgar Mitchell (who also appeared in last month’s movie), Dr. Dean Radin and many more. She found that the scientific experiments of today demonstrate that psychic abilities are a part of our inherent nature.

Perhaps the best way to describe this film is to quote from one of the scientists who contributed to it, after seeing the completed work: “This is probably the best educational film on parapsychology and its implications that has ever been made. If you want to see and hear many of the most creative scientists doing research in this area and find out what we know, I can’t recommend this film more highly!” Charles T. Tart, Ph.D. professor emeritus, psychology, UC Davis.

Tart has been doing this important research for many decades and what he and so many other scientists have to say is very powerful.

You are invited to join us at the Pagosa Lodge on the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. to see this award-winning movie. After the movie, we will have a lively discussion group. Though our monthly alternative movies are always free, we do appreciate your donations that help us cover the room rental and associated costs.
