Mosaic, the Christian Theatre Ministry of Springs Theatre Company will give the premiere presentations of “PuppetMaster” later this month.
Pagosa Bible Church will host the presentations July 28, 29 and 30. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and curtain is at 7.
“PuppetMaster” centers on a young woman returning home from a difficult few weeks at college. The play explores the various spiritual influences impacting her life. From family and friends to societal stresses and other influences, the many pressures of everyday life vie for prominence as she attempts to make sense of an ever more difficult situation.
The cast includes Becca Stephens as Katie Tyler, the young woman returning home from college for the weekend. Jaye Price plays her spiritually strong, but ever so human, mother. Dolly, Katie’s confused friend from high school, is played by Anne Townsend. Cast as Dolly’s deeply flawed boyfriend is Kevin Muirhead, who has a surprise alternate personality within his dual role. Katie’s pompous astronomy professor is played by Rick Artis. D’Ann Artis returns as director.
This play is dramatic in nature and some of the issues addressed may not be suitable for pre-teen children.
Admission is free. No tickets are necessary. Seating is first come, first served. An offering will be accepted to help defray the cost of the program.
