Please join Susan Halabrin for a wildflower walk to identify flowers of the Continental Divide Trail.
This is the time of year when everything is starting to bloom and there will be many species of wildflowers to look at.
We will meet at the Lobo Overlook this Sunday, July 24, and the walk will go from 9 a.m.-noon. From Pagosa Springs, head east on U.S. 160 towards Wolf Creek. When you reach the summit of Wolf Creek Pass, make your next left onto the Lobo Overlook road and follow this road for three miles to the radio towers. Be sure to bring rain gear and drinking water.
For additional information on other interpretive events for the 2011 season, contact the Pagosa Ranger District at 264-2268 or visit the office at 180 Pagosa St.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8-5:30.
