The Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters organization (RMPAP) selected Wild Spirit Gallery in Pagosa Springs to host its 10th Anniversary Show, July 27-Aug. 7.
This will be the largest plein-air event, featuring 42 nationally-recognized artists painting in Pagosa Springs.
“It’s going to be an amazing week for the artists and our community,” said Madeline Lyon, Wild Spirit Gallery owner and event host.

It is the last week to register for workshops
A unique plein air workshop series will be an integral part of the week’s event. Nationally-recognized artists will be on site to teach, guide and critique those interested in learning this distinctive painting style. Friday, Aug. 5: Opening Gala Reception 5-8 p.m. at Wild Spirit Gallery. Artists will be in attendance.
Saturday, Aug. 6: Quick Draw, 9-11 a.m., Town Park to Centennial Park, along the river, and around the Visitor Center lawn area. The public can watch paintings being created, start to finish, and then bid on the resulting works at Wild Spirit Gallery beginning at noon. Five percent of the sales at the Quick Draw event will be donated to FAMA, the Fine Art Magnet Academy at Pagosa Springs High School.
Sunday, Aug. 7: Show continues at Wild Spirit Gallery, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Show concludes at 2.
