Repeatedly, the residents of Pagosa Springs have demonstrated a very active interest in local government function and direction. The July Archuleta County Republican Women meeting will give residents a chance to hear about county issue updates while listening to Natalie Woodruff, county assessor, and District 1 commissioner Steve Wadley.
The meeting will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m., July 12, at Boss Hogg’s restaurant. All are invited.
Woodruff won the November 2010 election for county assessor, and in April 2011 Wadley was appointed by the Archuleta County Republican Party Vacancy Committee to replaced former County Commissioner John Ranson, who resigned.
During her first year in office, Woodruff has had to address the difficult task of downward “time trend” in property tax assessments, or real property valuations. Updates will be appreciated.
Much can be learned from listening to these two speakers.
