Have you ever sat and church or gone to a choral concert and thought to yourself, “I wish I could do that?”
Perhaps you sang in your high school choir many years ago and still enjoy singing, but just haven’t had the opportunity or the nerve to get involved in a choir since then.
St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church will be offering the perfect opportunity for you to brush up on your skills during the weekend of July 15-17.
Choral conductor Peter Schindler will return to Pagosa Springs to offer his extensive knowledge and teaching skills to help us sing with less tension to the voice, better breath support, and help us to produce a lovelier sound.
Whether you are an experienced singer or a novice, this workshop will certainly be beneficial to your skills. The workshop music will focus around excerpts from Vivaldi’s “Gloria.”
The workshop will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, will continue all day beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, and will conclude Sunday afternoon, July 17, with a rehearsal and choral presentation at Sunday Night Unplugged.
CDs and music will be made available prior to the event so that singers can begin to learn music in advance.
The cost of the workshop is $25.
St. Patrick’s is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. Contact the church office at 731-5801 or Sally Neel at firstname.lastname@example.org to enroll or to receive more information.
The public is invited to attend.
