Wednesday, June 29, is the last day for parade entries if you want to ensure yourself a good spot in the parade lineup for the Rotary Fourth of July Parade.
“Celebrating Community” is this year’s theme and lots of celebrating will take place during the largest attended event in Pagosa country all year.
The parade will be held Monday, July 4, at 10 a.m. Applications, maps and general information are available at the Chamber of Commerce or may be downloaded directly from the Pagosa SUN website, www.pagosasun.com.
Among those who are sure to be there are the San Juan Formation Flying Team fly-over to start the parade, the American Legion Flag Bearers, this year’s Grand Marshals, Rev. Don and Barbara Ford, the Red Ryder Roundup Royalty, floats of every size, and all things depicting Pagosa’s reason to celebrate living in this beautiful corner of the world.
So ,Pagosans, put on your creative thinking caps and get your applications turned in at the Chamber of Commerce no later than June 29. After that date, individuals and organizations can still enter at the registration booth on July 4, but will be placed at the end of the parade.
