Pagosa Springs is a small town filled with big talent.
There are people with a wide variety of artistic skills who come to retire, or perhaps enjoy a second home in this paradise of cool summers, colorful falls, and scenic Currier and Ives-style winters. Many are attracted to our beautiful San Juan mountains, flowing rivers, abundant lakes and forests, hot springs, and the warmth of the people in our community.
There is no doubt that Pagosa Springs brings out the artist in all of us.
If the “Sound of Music” fills your heart and you have the insatiable urge to sing, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church will be offering the perfect opportunity for you on the weekend of July 15-17. Choral conductor Peter Schindler will return to offer his knowledge and vocal techniques to singers as they prepare excerpts from Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” at the second annual St. Patrick’s Choral Workshop.
The workshop will begin with a session from 4-5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, and will continue all day beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and will conclude Sunday afternoon with a rehearsal and choral presentation at Sunday Night Unplugged.
CDs and music will be made available prior to the event so that singers can begin to learn music in advance. The cost of the workshop is only $25.
St. Patrick’s is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. Contact the church office at 731-5801 or Sally Neel at email@example.com to enroll or to receive more information. The public is invited to attend.
