Get into the Arts Zone at Hands-On Arts Camp

Hey there, kids: There is one week left to get into the zone of creating fun and art.

The Hands-On Arts Summer Camp is for students entering first grade next year, up to kids in sixth grade. There is still room and time to register children in the camp. Register in the morning; any day of the camp.

We have just finished our second week of arts camp. Students created many incredible works of art with Lisa and Tessie and music with Karen. This week students will try their hand at making a tabletop fountain out of clay, mask making and more.

Sessions will be held Monday through Thursday, through July 1, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., at the Pagosa Springs Elementary School Art Room.

Tuition is $120 per week, with a onetime $15 lab fee. The fees include instruction and materials. Daily dropoff rate is $35 plus a onetime lab fee of $15. There is a class limit of 20 students per week. Information on what other art classes will be taught can be found on the website:

Instructors are Lisa Brown and Tessie Garcia. They have taught in our community for many years. The staff enjoys exploring the infinite possibilities of creating art and music and look forward to teaching your child. Students are educated and encouraged to reuse, reduce and recycle.

For more information, call Lisa at 731-3546 or Tessie at 769-4212. Hands-On Arts Camp is sponsored by FolkWest, Inc. and Pagosa Springs Elementary School.
