Pine Cone Classic to benefit Community Assistance Fund

The 2011 Pine Cone Classic Charity Golf Tournament is celebrating its 25th year with a silver anniversary theme and fun events for women golfers of the Four Corners area.

This year’s selected charity is Creative Outreach Charitable Organization (COCO). Its mission is to raise and disburse funds to the poor, needy and elderly of Archuleta County via a voucher program in which specific goods and services are authorized.

COCO evolved from the highly successful Art in the Garden fund-raisers and has no administrative costs due to volunteer staff. Monies raised by the Pine Cone Classic Charity Golf Tournament will be donated to COCO, a 501(c)(3) organization, which will give the full amount to the Community Assistance Fund for disbursement to those in need.

The tournament will be held July 11-13 at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club, which proudly unveils a beautiful remolded clubhouse and restaurant.

All women 18 or older with a current USGA handicap are invited to form a four-woman team with entry fee of $150 per person to enjoy three days of flighted pure golf, fun events, food and friendship.

Entry forms are available at the clubhouse or from Donna Gregory (chairwoman), 731-1065.
